Twaweza Communications Limited is a strategic communication institution established in 2000 and based in Nairobi. We work in the areas of public policy, media and culture for sustainable development. We are committed to increasing public knowledge and action through research, training, advocacy and documentation for accessibility, agricultural policy, sustainable environment, equity in gender relations, accountable leadership and people centered governance.

VIEW OPEN POSITIONS

PROPOSAL WRITER

You will prepare proposals based on agreed concepts, gathering and formatting research information and prepare drafts for submission.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

You will conceptualize proposals by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs in various sectors, by studying requests for proposals (RFPs) and attending strategy meetings.

RESEARCH

You will conduct intensive and accurate research by identifying sources of data, researching into potential partners and grantors based on their portfolio, identifying similar projects conducted and their outcomes.

PREPARING DRAFTS

You will write, edit and revise draft proposals by assembling pertinent information including project nature, executive summaries, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, organization credentials budget, standards of performance, and evaluation.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

You will maintain a high standard of quality through creating evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, systems of coordination and developing re-useable templates.

CONTENT MANAGER

You will be responsible for creating, improving, maintaining and sharing content through online and offline channels to enhance engagement, raise brand awareness and ensure message consistency across channels.

CONTENT PLANNING

You will develop editorial calendars to plan content creation and dissemination. You will plan and develop content structure, style and layout for newsletters, email campaigns, proposals and reports.

CONTENT CREATION

You will spearhead content strategy development aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets. You will coordinate with internal and external team to create and publish engaging content.

RAPPORTEUR

You will act as rapporteur during events such as conferences, seminars and workshops. You will share, online and offline, text and audio-visual material relating to and resulting from these events while coordinating with partners.

CORPORATE COMUNICATIONS

You will communicate with existing partners and clients to maintain good relations. You will develop and maintain connections with new partners and clients.

Skills Requirements
  1. Bsc. degree in Journalism, Marketing or other relevant field
  2. Minimum 3 years experience as a Content Manager, Inbound Marketing or Corporate Communications
  3. Minimum 2 years experience in corporate social media management
  4. Basic knowledge of HTML and web publishing via systems such as WordPress
